I took my wife and younger son to the Misselwood Concours d’Elegance. It’s an antique car show, held as a fund raiser for Endicott College. The show is held on the grounds of the college, which rests along the craggy coastline of Beverly, Massachusetts.
I was on sight for only a few hours, if even that. I took 199 pictures: quarter views, interior shots, rear views, engine shots. It’s too overwhelming to do a complete overview in an afternoon. Here is a sampling of some examples that were presented.
This is Morgan in the foreground with a Packard looking over it'shoulder, and a Stanley Steamer in back.
This is a Kaiser Darrin. The driver side is open, notice how the door slides into the front fender.

Took a little trip to Newburyport, Mass with family and friends. There I tripped over this exquisite Bel Air (1959-1960).
1950's Bel Air paid the neighborhood a visit.
Went to one of those antique shops in Essex, and I found this poor thing on the side of the driveway. Yes, it is for sale.
Model T for sale. New tires! Well ... relatively new tires.

Waiting at a red light at the intersection of Rt 97 and Conant St.
Imagine my shock when I came across this ghost of a racecar stopped a traffic light just in front of me. I wasn’t really chasing it, as it really seemed to follow in front of me. The driver took it down my regular home commute route through part of Beverly, MA.
Sneaking snap shots the best I can.
My best guess is that it’s a Bugatti Type 35 (A,B,C?), a French racing car from the 1920’s. The owner keeps it in “Bleu de France.” That’s French for “British Racing Green.” As the British colored their racing cars green, or the Italians used reds (like red Ferrari’s), the French color was blue with white letters.
Here's where he got away. Had to wait for traffic.
I was on my way to work, when I saw this Ford De Luxe sitting in the Stop n Shop parking lot. In a smell-the-roses moment, I gt into a different lane, and waited for an extra red light to take this shot. No big deal really, I still got to work well on time.

Fortunately, it was still fairly early in the morning with the sun still rising. The car itself was facing east, so the lighting was right.
Apparently, a convertible version was used in the movie, Back to The Future.
So I drove my son over to Burnett’s Garage in Danvers, Mass, just for a drive by. Burnett’s specializes in MG’s. In my high school days, the lot would be full British two-seaters. I’m sure MG’s are getting tougher and tougher to come by these days. At this time, there were merely a few Midgets on the lot.
Sitting off on it’s own was this green MG Magnette from the 1950’s or 1960’s.

I’m guessing that this is a 1952 Mercury Monterey waiting for a new windshield and rear window.
